Arrive in Suffolk wine country
Arrive and make Burnt House your first taste of Suffolk wine country. Check in, drop off your bags and jump in local transport to the modern Burnt House Vineyard for cellar-door wines, supper or a relaxed first-night glass in the countryside. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not jump on a bike and cycle through some of Suffolk’s most picturesque countryside.
Explore the Wool Towns
Have a slow start in Lavenham or Long Melford. Browse independent shops, stop for a spot of brunch, visit Lavenham Guildhall or Little Hall, or keep the morning free for a gentle wander through Suffolk's Wool Towns
Choose your vineyard experience
Book a guided vineyard tasting. Choose Giffords Hall Vineyard for a tutored tasting near Hartest, or Coopers Croft Vineyard for an intimate, family-run vineyard visit, where groups can enjoy a peaceful rural setting. For a coast-and-vines twist, Shotley Vineyard on the Shotley Peninsula is another memorable group option, with vineyard tours, tutored tastings and food add-ons such as grazing boxes or afternoon tea on selected dates.
Raise a glass over dinner
Continue your Suffolk wine discovery over dinner. Visit the The Bildeston Crown, the Peacock Inn Chelsworth or The One Bull pub in the heart of Bury St Edmunds. All great opportunities to sample some other carefully crafted local wines, beers and spirits too. Look out for Burnt House wines on the local wine list at The Peacock Inn.
