Arrive in one of Suffolk's foodie hotspots, such as Dedham Vale, Long Melford or Bury St Edmunds, and make the most of your first evening. There is no need to rush into the weekend. Check in, settle into your surroundings and head out for dinner somewhere that puts Suffolk produce centre stage.
In Bury St Edmunds, look out for Ark Wines and other exceptional Suffolk wines on local wine lists. For a special occasion, book a table at Lark or Suffolk's Michelin-starred Pea Porridge. Prefer something more relaxed? Head to Chater's for a laid-back evening where you can sip Ark while settling into the weekend.
Vineyard views and a taste of Suffolk
Saturday is all about slowing down and getting to know the people and places behind Suffolk's wine. Head into the countryside for a visit to Burnt House Vineyard or Giffords Hall Vineyard.
Choose Burnt House for a relaxed tasting-room experience and a chance to enjoy the vineyard at your own pace, or book a guided tasting at Giffords Hall near Hartest for a closer look at the wines and the story behind them.
Allow plenty of time to explore the surrounding countryside too. This is Suffolk at its most rural, with winding lanes, pretty villages, historic buildings and farmland stretching between the vineyards. Add a farm shop, garden or country pub stop along the way and make the day your own.
