Thorpeness Beach lies just north of Aldeburgh on the Suffolk Coast. It is backed by village buildings and open coastal landscape.

The shoreline is mainly shingle, with sand exposed at low tide in places. The beach runs for several miles along the coast.

Limited roadside parking is available in Thorpeness village, with additional parking nearby.

Access

Access is direct from the seafront onto the shingle beach.

Getting there

Thorpeness is accessed via local roads from the A1094.
