About Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel

Thorpeness Golf Club & Hotel is perfectly situated on the Suffolk Coast a short walk from the beach and is ideal for golfers, couples and families.

They have a Top 100 golf course built by the famous James Braid. The par 70 course is playable 365 days a year thanks to their fantastic ground and hardworking greenkeepers. Thorpeness golf course is regarded as one of the finest coastal heathland golf courses in Britain, and one of the best golf courses in Suffolk. Golfers can expect a winding course, through heather, gorse, pine and silver birch trees, hitting from firm quick drying soil with rare birdsong in the ears and the tang of sea salt in the air.

Inside, they're home to 36 comfortable en-suite bedrooms of varying sizes and offer plenty of places to relax in around the hotel. Guests can expect a comfortable, relaxed feel in both Braid's Bar and their lovely lounge, alfresco dining can be enjoyed on the terrace and out in the meareside garden, and delicious seasonal dishes can be devoured in Ogilvie's, their tee-view restaurant.

They also offer a selection of delicious sweet and savoury goodies with our afternoon tea which is available each day (pre-booking essential).

Thorpeness is also close to the popular town of Aldeburgh and was built in the 1920's as a holiday village.

They have a range of stays available from golf breaks and dinner, bed and breakfast to bed and breakfast and room only options.
