About Captured Light: Paintings & Chairs from Suffolk
An exhibition of paintings and handcrafted chairs inspired by the Suffolk landscape.
About the Exhibition
Captured Light brings together the handcrafted chairs of Dan Hussey and the paintings of Honor Surie, united by a shared response to the Suffolk landscape. Through wood and paint, light is held, softened and shaped—caught in the grain of timber, the curve of a chair, and the shifting tones of water, sky and marsh.
Together, these works celebrate quiet observation, skilled craftsmanship, material honesty and the enduring atmosphere of place.
Opening Day

He studied Three Dimensional Design at Newcastle Polytechnic before establishing his Suffolk workshop.
