About Guildenacre – The Guardians of the Woodland Adventure

Opening 27 June 2026, Guildenacre is a brand new immersive woodland adventure playground set within the ancient grounds of the Helmingham Estate in Suffolk.

Step into a hidden world in the heart of the forest, where the story of the Guardians comes to life. A glimmer of gold, whispers through the trees, and five mythical protectors watch over the woodland: Flint the Badger, Eira the Owl, Atlas the Stag, Vex the Vixen, and the mysterious Astral.

Children are invited to become part of the story as they explore four beautifully themed woodland play zones, each inspired by the Guardians and their natural habitats.

At Flint’s Hollow, explorers can delve into burrows, tunnels and lookout towers before whizzing down a twisting slide. High in the canopy, Eira’s Canopy Keep offers rope bridges, climbing routes, talking tubes and a stargazing deck among the treetops.

The largest zone, Atlas’s Elderglade, features multi-level walkways, climbing walls, bridges and thrilling slides designed for adventurous play. For older children, Vex’s Ember Den delivers high-energy challenges including zip lines, balance beams and dynamic climbing structures.

Linked together by natural bark pathways, the experience encourages free exploration and discovery throughout the woodland, with a strong focus on imaginative, outdoor play.

Families can also take part in the Guardian trail, following clues and collecting symbols of each Guardian as they journey through the forest.

Guildenacre has been designed as a place where storytelling and nature meet, encouraging children to create their own adventures in a fully immersive outdoor environment.

Facilities are located within the woodland and at the restored Wades Barn, including refreshments, toilets and visitor services. A new car park is also available on site.

Guildenacre opens weekends from 27 June, before opening daily during the summer holidays.

Tickets are available in advance and on the day, with reduced pricing available until 31 August as part of a temporary VAT reduction on children’s leisure activities.
