The Crown and Castle is situated in the beautiful village of Orford, right next door to Henry II’s Orford Castle. Renowned for a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, The Crown and Castle invites guests to enjoy these stunning surroundings and make memories that will last a lifetime.

There are few better places on the Suffolk coast to enjoy the blue skies and sunshine than Orford, a small fishing village known for its peaceful atmosphere and bounty of brilliant local produce.
The Crown and Castle’s 21 en-suite bedrooms are light and comfortable with modern décor. The Best House rooms have wonderful views over to the estuary and sea, while ground-floor rooms are sited in the garden and have semi-private terraces. Five of the Garden rooms are designated for those wishing to bring their four legged friends, just be sure to ask for a dog-friendly room when booking.

Head Chef Jake Lawrence takes huge pride in producing elegant and exquisite dishes, using local ingredients in order to bring Suffolk to the plate. Jake and his Folk pour passion and care into every dish, not only delivering great flavour, but adding some fun twists to ensure a memorable experience.

With an abundance of walks, natural beauty and charm, there is a lot to explore! The strangely beautiful Ness is just around the corner, as well as Orford’s fine 12th-century castle. The food-lovers are in for a treat, with Pinney’s traditional smokehouse and the brilliant artisan Pump Street Bakery within a short walk, both are a must visit. Just a little further afield, Rendlesham Forest offers spectacular woodland walks, perfect for the whole family to explore.
