About College Farm

Thompson’s College and St Martin’s Church were built by Katharine’s ancestors in 1349 and became a private house in 1541. Breakfast is served in the Jacobean panelled dining room. We offer B&B for horses in our neighbours field next door.

College Farm is a medieval family home situated in the village of Thompson three miles from the market town of Watton. We have 3 double bedrooms, all with private or ensuite bathrooms and we are ideally situated as a base for touring Norfolk & East Anglia as well as Norwich, Cambridge and Ely. Thompson is a convenient stop over for those walking or riding 'Peddars Way' or the Pingo Trail (a feature left from the last Ice age).

College Farm has 3 double bedrooms available for B&B. Two double rooms have single beds that can be zipped together to make a king size (6ft) bed and one has a 5ft bed. All rooms have private/en suite bathrooms, hairdryers, wi-fi and views of the garden or farmland.

A delicious homemade, locally sourced breakfast is served in the Jacobean panelled dining room. Supper is also available by request (£35/head for 2 courses) Meals are also available at The Chequers, a 400 year old thatched pub in the village or The Red Lion in Caston. Packed lunches are available by request at £10/ head.
